Keswick Library is a welcoming community-based resource in the heart of the town, just off the main street.

There is limited disc zone parking on the road adjacent to the library. Other car parks are nearby and the bus station is approximately 200 yards from the library. It has disabled access via automatic doors and all public areas are on the ground floor.

The library offers a range of fiction and non-fiction for adults, children and young people, alongside large print books, audiobooks and access to eBooks and eAudiobooks through the library's digital services. It is completely free to become a member.

Visitors can make use of free Wi-Fi and public computers offering access to online resources, with a comfortable area available for study, quiet reading and research. Printing, photocopying and scanning facilities are also available.

Regular activities and events take place throughout the year, including reading challenges, drop-in craft activities, author talks, digital support sessions and community-led activities. Keswick Library also provides hearing aid batteries, loanable dementia bags, Healthy Start vitamins and baby weighing scales.

Keswick Library is also home to Cumberland Council Customer Services, providing a convenient location where residents can access a range of council-related information and support.

In addition, the Keswick Area Food Share scheme (KAFS) is located next to the library, open on Wednesdays from 10am to 1pm. The food is free to anyone who needs it within the CA12 postcode area, though there is a voluntary contribution of £3 if recipients can afford it.
